What is Automexia?#
Automexia is a terminal workspace for people who spend their day in command-line tools. It keeps sessions, panes, search, and shell context organized without replacing the shell.
Does it replace PowerShell, Bash, Zsh, Fish, or WSL?#
No. Your shell still owns commands, scripting, completion, profiles, and history. Automexia gives those shells a focused workspace.
What can I preview today?#

Are installers available?#
Yes. Linux x64 and Arm64 DEB, RPM, and portable packages are available as v0.4.0 Public Alpha. Windows and macOS remain planned. Follow Installation to choose and verify your package.
Is this Alpha, Beta, or stable?#
Public Alpha. It is an early evaluation release with known compatibility and UI limitations, not a stable release. Keep your existing terminal while trying it. See Early Access for tested scope and limitations.
Is Automexia open source?#
No public source access is offered. Early Access provides verified executables only. The future licensing and business model has not been decided, so the website does not promise that Automexia will become open source, remain free, or become commercial. Read Early Access for the current boundary.
Which operating systems are supported?#
Linux x64 and Arm64 are the first public targets. Windows and macOS remain planned, without public release dates. Exact expectations are listed in Platform support.
Can I start without a configuration file?#
Yes. Automexia can start with defaults. Add configuration only when you want to change behavior such as the shell, font, theme, window, or shortcuts.
Where is configuration stored?#
The location follows the operating system. See the configuration reference for paths, precedence, and safe reload behavior.
What is the difference between a tab and a pane?#
A window tab separates larger work contexts. A split divides the visible workspace. Each pane hosts its own terminal session.
How do I discover shortcuts?#
Open the command palette or use the keyboard reference. Custom bindings can be added in configuration.
Does Automexia support images?#
It supports selected terminal image protocols and intentional local image previews. Remote image fetching is not required. See Files and images.
Can I use SSH, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud CLIs?#
Yes. Run the official tools in your shell as you do in another terminal. Those tools keep control of authentication, configuration, and network behavior.
Is Automexia an AI terminal?#
No. The terminal works without an AI service, and normal terminal output is not uploaded by the core application.
Where are passwords and tokens stored?#
Use the operating system, SSH agent, or official provider tooling that already owns those credentials. Do not place secrets in shared configuration, aliases, screenshots, or issue reports.
What happens if configuration is invalid?#
Automexia keeps the last valid configuration and reports the problem instead of applying a partial update.
Where should I report a problem?#
Public support and issue-reporting channels will be linked from this website when they open. Until then, do not send credentials or private terminal output to unrelated accounts that claim to represent Automexia.
