Early Access#
Automexia v0.4.0 is a Public Alpha for Linux x64 and Arm64. You can download it now to evaluate the terminal and explore its everyday workflows.
Why Alpha?#
This is the first public Linux release. Core workflows are available, but compatibility, interface behavior, and accessibility still need broader testing. Alpha describes that stage more accurately than Beta or stable.
The package version remains 0.4.0, and GitHub marks it as a prerelease. The
Alpha label describes its maturity; it does not rename the published files.
What you can try#
Use tabs and split panes, search visible terminal output, discover actions through the command palette, and adjust font size and appearance. Your shell continues to own commands, completion, profiles, and credentials.
Begin with Installation, then Getting started. Windows and macOS remain planned; they are not included in this release.
Tested scope and limitations#
Native build and package install/removal checks cover Ubuntu 22.04 on x64 and Arm64. RPM lifecycle smoke checks used that runner, not a full Fedora test matrix. These checks do not certify every distribution, GPU, shell, desktop, or screen reader.
The publisher's current limitations include reports of output or decoration changes after resizing, crowded context in narrow panes, focus or paste surprises, and dense search or command-palette controls. Their effect depends on the environment; they are not established as resolved for every Linux setup.
Command decorations depend on shell integration. Font-size and appearance preferences persist; arbitrary workspace and session state are not guaranteed to persist. Some shortcut defaults differ from familiar shell bindings.
Keep your existing terminal available and start with non-sensitive work. See the publisher's support notes for the detailed release boundaries.
Source and licensing position#
The Automexia source repository is private. Early Access provides application packages only. No public source installation is offered.
No final licensing or business model has been announced. Review the license and notices bundled with this release. Download availability does not promise future source access, pricing, or commercial terms.
Feedback and privacy#
General support intake is not open yet. Keep a short, redacted reproduction with your version, distribution, architecture, expected result, and actual result. Never share credentials, private paths, terminal history, or environment dumps.
For a suspected vulnerability, use the private security reporting channel. That channel is not for ordinary support questions. No response-time commitment is made for this Alpha.
Updates#
Alpha updates may change shortcuts, configuration, or experimental behavior. Verify every new package and back up important settings. Read Release trust and the public roadmap for the verification process and future direction.
